To celebrate Neil Gaiman’s last American signing tour, I decided to finally read a book of his that isn’t also written by Terry Pratchett. Guess what I picked up first. The Graveyard Book is about a boy named Nobody Owens who, after his family was murdered by the sinister Man Jack, was raised in an old graveyard by ghosts and other mysterious beings that are far from human.
As I finished the last few pages of the book, the first word that came to my head to describe it was “beautiful.” No spoilers.
